Malaysia Update: MDA & NIOSH Engagement on N95 Respiratory Protection

The EMA team held a productive engagement with Malaysia’s Medical Device Authority (MDA) and NIOSH (National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health) to align on key N95 considerations and reinforce confidence in our Safety Seal N95 respirator, designed specifically for Asian facial profiles. The discussion focused on fit, comfort, and compliance, critical factors in effective respiratory protection. These interactions strengthen collaboration and help ensure our respirators meet both regulatory expectations and the practical needs of healthcare professionals.
These conversations are instrumental in strengthening collaboration between regulators and industry, building confidence in HALYARD products, and ensuring that our solutions continue to support safe and effective respiratory protection in clinical settings. Insights from the session will guide future product education, compliance strategies, and user engagement initiatives across the region.

Team India achieves 18 iProtect Conclaves Strengthening HCP Safety

O&M HALYARD team India has successfully conducted 18 iProtect Conclaves across India, reinforcing healthcare professional (HCP) safety in the operating room and promoting best practices in infection prevention. EMA – KOL Engagement – Advancing Infection Prevention Across the Region

On 23rd September, our team Aimee, Poonam, Dimitra, and Jacky from UIC Hong Kong had the privilege of meeting with Ms. Patricia Ching, WHO Collaborating Center, School of Public Health, HKU. The discussion focused on co-developing seminar topics for an upcoming educational dinner, covering infection prevention, emerging pathogens like Candida auris, PPE quality standards, and cross-country practice comparisons.
