ANZ Mid-Year Sales Conference 2025: Fostering Collaboration and Advancing Sustainability

In July, the ANZ Sales and Marketing teams met at the Sydney office for the Mid-Year Meeting to share insights, align strategies, and connect as a team. Wee Chin, Clinical Education & Training Manager, opened with an update on surgical trends and gown selection. The Marketing team shared competitor updates, campaign results, and blind product testing insights, while a light-hearted team game helped strengthen connections.

The Sales team compared competitor gloves with Halyard’s, gaining valuable market insights to inform future strategies.

A highlight of the conference was the focus on ESG and sustainability. Dane Clapson (Director, Legal APAC) and Lisa McKee (Director, Marketing, Strategy & Communications, International Markets) outlined our sustainability action plan, followed by an engaging virtual session with David Russell, Sustainable Procurement Implementation Manager, NSW Health, on low-carbon procurement and supplier expectations.

Thank you to all presenters and organisers for a productive and inspiring event.

Giving Back: Sales Team Volunteers at Ronald McDonald House

As part of the ANZ Mid-Year Meeting in July, the Sales team dedicated time to volunteer at Ronald McDonald House Sydney, preparing meals for families with children receiving hospital care.

The team rolled up their sleeves to cook meals, creating a welcoming environment for families facing some of their toughest moments. It was a heartfelt and rewarding experience, filled with teamwork, compassion, and connection—clearly reflected in the smiles captured in the photo!

This initiative highlights O&M Halyard’s commitment to supporting our communities and making a difference beyond the workplace. Volunteering together not only gave the team a chance to give back but also strengthened bonds and reminded everyone of the power of small actions to create meaningful impact.

A big thank you to everyone who participated and helped make the day a success. More volunteer opportunities are planned for the months ahead, and we look forward to continuing our journey of giving back together.

Team Japan: KOL Meeting in Yokohama – Key Insights

On July 11, team Japan hosted a Key Opinion Leader (KOL) meeting in Yokohama, bringing together six experts as a follow-up to last year’s session. The meeting began with a review of previous discussions and updates on initiatives, including progress on clinical papers and case reports.

A key focus was the proper use of gloves in clinical settings, including evaluation of the “wet-don” glove prototype. The KOLs offered valuable feedback on glove usage practices, cost considerations, and alignment with clinical guidelines.

The discussions revealed a notable gap between end-user expectations and manufacturer perspectives, offering fresh insights for future product development. The session emphasised the importance of ongoing dialogue with clinical experts in shaping practical and compliant solutions tailored to healthcare needs.

Empowering Sales Through Clinical Insights

On 14 September, the final session (Part 3) of the sales training series was held at Kurume University Hospital, hosted by Ms. Miura. She welcomed Ms. Keiko Kondo, Infection Control Nurse from Iwate Medical University Hospital, as the guest speaker.

Ms. Kondo’s lecture focused on regional collaboration activities within Iwate Prefecture, particularly infection control measures during disasters and the challenges faced in the field. Following the lecture and discussion, Ms. Miura and Ms. Kondo addressed numerous questions from the Japan Sales Team, including current initiatives and the types of support expected from suppliers.

The training provided valuable insights into customer needs and encouraged the sales team to reflect on how they can offer enhanced support to customers. All three sessions of the Sales Training series led by Ms. Miura delivered a highly practical and engaging experience.
