O&M Halyard Australia proudly exhibited at the 2025 SRACA NSW Conference, the annual professional gathering hosted by the Sterilising Research and Advisory Council of NSW. The event brought together more than 300 sterilisation and reprocessing professionals from across the state, creating a valuable platform to exchange insights on evidence-based practice, emerging research, innovation, and best-practice standards in reprocessing and infection prevention.
The conference program featured expert industry speakers, hands-on workshops, and a vibrant trade exhibition, offering delegates the opportunity to engage with the latest technologies and solutions supporting safe and effective sterilisation processes. Attendees also benefited from strong networking opportunities, fostering collaboration and knowledge-sharing across the sector.
The event concluded with the themed social dinner, “Stars of the Show,” which celebrated excellence within the sterilisation and reprocessing profession.

The 14th iPROTECT Conclave marked an important milestone, with over 65 healthcare professionals from Surgery, Nursing, OT, Infection Control, Quality, and Procurement participating. The inaugural ceremony was attended by top hospital management, with the keynote delivered by Dr. Arun N. Palaniswami, Executive Director, alongside Dr. J. Sivakumaran, COO, and Dr. A. N. Murugan, Medical Director. Expert sessions on HCP safety, case studies, medical device regulations, and correct PPE selection were delivered by Dr. Shashank Devapur and Dr. Varun Sundaramoorthy, followed by a panel discussion emphasizing infection control training and best practices. Hands-on PPE donning and doffing demonstrations were conducted, and participants completed pre- and post-session quizzes to earn CAHO-certified certificates.

Onco Movie Night Series Empowers Safer Oncology Practice in Singapore | Oct – Dec 2025
Between October and December 2025, the Onco Movie Night Series was hosted across National University Hospital (NUH), Ng Teng Fong Hospital (NTFGH), and Tan Tock Seng Hospital (TTSH). These sessions offered a unique platform to engage nurses and clinical staff on the risks associated with cytotoxic exposure and safe chemotherapy handling practices.
The events were extremely well-received, revealing that many participants were previously unaware of key occupational hazards. The combination of education, discussion, and practical insights not only enhanced awareness of oncology safety but also sparked meaningful engagement, reflected in multiple requests for HALYARD PINK UNDERGUARD and HALYARD PURPLE NITRILE

Strengthening Chemotherapy Safety in Malaysia

On 26 September 2025, the team met with Dr. Salihin and the MOH–UPM team, alongside Lumiere, to discuss improving chemotherapy safety practices across Malaysia. The discussions focused on Halyard’s APAC Chemosafe Tool, essential PPE requirements, and the importance of standardising protocols across both MOH and private hospitals.
Key challenges identified included limited awareness of occupational exposure risks, variations in spill management and CSTD usage, and the need for structured education for oncology staff. The meeting concluded with plans to develop a specialised intervention module, implement a Train-the-Trainer (TTT) program with key opinion leaders, and explore collaborative agreements with universities such as UPM.
This collaboration represents a major step toward strengthening national guidelines, enhancing occupational safety for healthcare workers, and driving long-term improvements in safe chemotherapy handling across Malaysia.

Japan Roundtable Discussion Explores Proper PPE Usage

On 2 November, a Roundtable Discussion on Proper PPE Usage was held in Tokyo, bringing together four Infection Control Nurses (ICNs), including one participant online. The session was facilitated by Ms. Haruyo Sakaki, Infection Control Nurse at the International University of Health and Welfare Graduate School, guiding discussions with the ICNs on practical challenges in clinical settings.
Two key topics were explored: “Diaper Changes and Infection Prevention for Inpatients”, focusing on gaps between recommended standards and actual practice, and glove overuse, highlighting inconsistent practices such as skipping gloves when required or wearing them unnecessarily.
The discussion offered valuable insights into improving education, standardisation, and awareness of correct PPE use. Outcomes will be shared in HALYARD’s newsletter “KNOWLEDGE COMMUNICATION” to promote best practices, strengthen infection prevention, and enhance HALYARD’s brand value in Japan.
Korea
O&M Halyard Highlights Cleanroom Solutions Across Korea
O&M Halyard recently made a strong impression at several key exhibitions in South Korea, highlighting its Pharma and Cleanroom solutions to industry leaders and professionals.
At KSMCB (Korean Society for Molecular and Cellular Biology), held 30 September–2 October 2025 at ICC Jeju, HG3 Sterile, Marin, Limon, and Lavender gloves were showcased to government officials, biotechnology researchers, and dealers.
From 15–17 October, BIX Korea (Bio-Interphex) at Coex Seoul attracted biopharmaceutical companies and dealers to explore our cleanroom products, generating high engagement and interest.
Finally, at Sedex from 22–24 October, O&M Halyard demonstrated HG5 and HG3 non-sterile cleanroom gloves to semiconductor companies, reinforcing its commitment to precision, contamination control, and operational excellence.
These exhibitions reaffirm O&M Halyard’s position as a trusted partner in pharma safety, delivering innovative cleanroom solutions that uphold the highest standards of protection and efficiency.
