National Day Hospital Association Conference | 27–29 August, Canberra, ACT

Team O&M Halyard Australia proudly participated in the National Day Hospital Association Conference in Canberra as both Coffee-Cart sponsor and exhibitor, connecting with over 320 healthcare professionals from across Australia.

The conference provided valuable insights into the evolving Day Hospital (DH) sector, which, while optimistic, is facing challenges, including the closure of 50 DHs in the past three years. Key themes from presenters included:

  • Financial viability and strategies for sustainable growth
  • Regulations, funding pathways, and accreditation standards
  • Supporting healthcare worker wellbeing and mental health

The event reinforced the strategic relevance of our infection prevention solutions in a sector balancing cost control with quality care. Delegates expressed interest in value-driven partnerships that enhance efficiency, compliance, and staff wellbeing.

As the DH sector navigates post-pandemic recovery, O&M Halyard is well-positioned to support sustainable healthcare delivery through evidence-based solutions and continued policy engagement.

Workshop on Empowering Sterilization Management at PPUKM | 26 August, Malaysia

On 26 August, Hana Nur, Product Manager, represented O&M Halyard at the Bengkel Memperkasakan Pengurusan Sterilisasi (Workshop on Empowering Sterilization Management) held at Canselor Tuanku Muhriz UKM Hospital (PPUKM) in Malaysia.

During the workshop, Ms. Siti from our distributor Lumiere Sdn. Bhd. delivered an insightful presentation on “Ideal Packaging to Reduce Infections in CSSD,” featuring Halyard Sterilization Wraps. Hana also introduced Halyard gloves recommended for CSSD, reinforcing our commitment to healthcare worker protection through high-quality products and rigorous testing.

The event provided a valuable platform to engage with nurses and sterilization professionals, share product knowledge, and strengthen partnerships. It reinforced Halyard’s reputation for safety, innovation, and reliability in infection prevention and sterilization solutions.

National Kidney Foundation Singapore | 7 July, Singapore

On 7 July 2025, the O&M Halyard Singapore team participated in a meaningful volunteering initiative with the National Kidney Foundation (NKF), assisting with dialysis supply packing.

As part of our commitment to giving back, the team worked alongside NKF staff to help prepare essential healthcare supplies—ensuring that life-sustaining dialysis items reach patients across Singapore efficiently and on time.

This hands-on experience was fulfilling and aligned with our broader CSR goals, reflecting O&M Halyard’s dedication to supporting community health and our mission to protect those who protect others—not just through our products, but through purposeful action.

Singapore National Eye Centre (SNEC) Nurses’ Day Educational Lunch Talk | 11 August, Singapore

In celebration of Nurses’ Day, the O&M Halyard Singapore team conducted an educational lunch talk at the Singapore National Eye Centre (SNEC). The session focused on Halyard’s Custom Procedure Packs (CPPs) and surgical solutions, providing valuable insights to the nursing staff.

As SNEC is a key account in Singapore, this initiative reinforced our commitment to supporting healthcare professionals. The nurses’ active participation demonstrated the relevance of the session, ensuring they remain equipped with the right knowledge while staying updated on Halyard innovations.

This engagement deepened product awareness and strengthened customer rapport for future collaboration.

Engagement with MOH on Healthcare Resilience | 12 September, Singapore

On 12 September, the ASEAN team met with the Supply Chain and Logistics Division of the Ministry of Health Singapore (MOH) to showcase our capabilities in supporting national healthcare initiatives.

The meeting focused on how Halyard can contribute to stockpiling strategies, infection control, and pandemic preparedness, aligning with MOH’s goals to strengthen resilience and operational agility in Singapore’s healthcare system.

The discussion highlighted the importance of reliable supply chains, innovative solutions, and trusted partnerships in navigating an evolving healthcare landscape. MOH expressed interest in further exploring potential collaboration opportunities.

The International Society for Pharmaceutical Engineering (ISPE) Conference Exhibition | 27–29 August, Singapore

From 27 to 29 August, the ASEAN team attended the ISPE Conference Exhibition at SUNTEC Singapore to support ITS, our new cleanroom distributor, as they launched their booth.

The event provided a valuable opportunity to showcase our PUREZERO* Cleanroom Nitrile Gloves range, connect with pharmaceutical manufacturers across the APAC region, and strengthen our collaboration with ITS.

We are excited to continue building momentum in the cleanroom segment together!

Japan

40th Annual Conference of the Japanese Society for Infection Prevention and Control | 10–12 July 2025, Pacifico Yokohama, Japan

Team Japan attended the 40th Annual Conference of the Japanese Society for Infection Prevention and Control, held from 10 to 12 July at Pacifico Yokohama. As one of the largest and most important conferences in infection control, it attracted over 6,700 healthcare professionals, including doctors and infection control nurses (ICNs) from across Japan.

During the event, the team launched new product, HALYARD* SKYBREEZE* Nitrile Exam Glove, generating 44 leads. We also set up a dedicated chemotherapy glove section to promote best practices such as double-gloving and the use of PPE tested for resistance against hazardous drugs. These activities sparked interest and led to sample requests for HALYARD* PINK UNDERGUARD* and PURPLE NITRILE XTRA* gloves.

Additionally, the booth design prominently featured the HALYARD brand, incorporating glove dispenser box graphics on the walls to enhance brand visibility and recognition. Overall, the event successfully combined product launch, customer engagement, and brand promotion.

Japan

Infection Nursing Conference | 23–24 August, Fukuoka, Japan

The 25th Annual Conference of the Japanese Society of Nursing Care and Infection Control was held in Fukuoka on 23–24 August. The Japan team co-sponsored a luncheon seminar, featuring Ms. Minako Mitsui, Infection Control Nurse from Kumamoto Shinto General Hospital, as a speaker, and Ms. Miho Miura from Kurume University Hospital as moderator.

The lecture highlighted infection prevention measures and the importance of stockpiling in healthcare facilities, drawing on Ms. Mitsui’s experience during major earthquakes and heavy rain disasters.

India

CAHO iPROTECT CONCLAVE SERIES | JULY–AUGUST 2025 | INDIA

Between July and August 2025, O&M Halyard India, in collaboration with the Consortium of Accredited Healthcare Organisations (CAHO), successfully conducted a series of iPROTECT Conclaves across leading hospitals in India. These sessions focused on “Healthcare Professional Safety and Protection in the OR Environment”, reinforcing the importance of selecting the right PPE, understanding medical device regulations, and ensuring compliance to infection control standards.

Each conclave featured expert faculty, engaging panel discussions, pre- and post-session quizzes, and live PPE donning and doffing demonstrations by OT teams. Over 250 healthcare professionals from infection control, quality, OT, and supply chain departments participated and received certificates signed by CAHO.

The 8th iPROTECT Conclave was inaugurated by Col. (Dr.) S.K. Rao and Dr. Sushila Kawade. Led by Dr. Aruna Poojary and Dr. Vaibhav Dhudhat, the session featured case studies, interactive quizzes, and a panel discussion on infection control in the OR.
